It was 3v3, King of the Hill on the driveway. We had two new players, and we also had the bomb!
Environmental Conditions
- Weather: 28°F, Dark
- Terrain: Hilly (it’s Dubuque!)
- Impact on Performance: It’s possible the sub-freezing temps were causing connector problems on the 32ESPecial. Something was.
Scoring
We played two ten-minute halves, switching sides at halftime to even out the terrain advantage.

What Worked
- The bomb delivered. Early in the first half,
threw the bomb at @Jack, but didn’t cook it long enough. Jack kept his cool and threw it back, much to the surprise of the . He learned fast, though. In the second half, @Jack and @Joe were in good cover behind a wall, when the bomb came flying over and detonated before it hit the ground. It was a good time.
What Didn’t Work
- We starting playing a second game, but shortly in to it, the bomb fell in the creek, and we had to stop the game to fish it out. The good new is, the foam football floats really well, and the electronics barely got wet.
- The 32ESPecial was locking up and resetting itself (both). I don’t know why. We still won.
